Pain points & observations

Onboarding touches several systems. A new member is entered by hand into the form, the database, the community platform, and the map — each step manual.
Promotion is replicated across many channels. A single update has to be re-posted by hand to each social and email surface.
Records are self-selected, then corrected by hand. Deterministic rules could route and tier people automatically.
Consumer data is merged by hand. Contacts from several tools are compiled into a separate spreadsheet, apart from the main database.
Relationships live in an inbox. Donor and partner history is tracked by one person; every touch is logged by hand or lost.
Status goes stale. Records are rarely self-updated; public sources are often more current than internal ones.
The primary database is near capacity. The active tracker is close to its plan limits.
Donations are re-keyed and re-categorized by hand. Payments flow through several tools; mis-tagged transactions are re-entered with custom categories.
Reporting is manual. Partner and procurement reports take days of cross-referencing by hand.
Project & board tracking is duplicated. The same items are entered across several tools and documents.
